To present the history of Four Mile Township, Wayne County, Illinois and its’ residents in the last half of the 19th century through a demographic study. To demonstrate settlement and migration patterns to and through the township, the impact of the Civil War on families, and the impact of the railroad on settlement creation and dissolution. To present genealogical data of individuals, extended families and blended families living in the township.
