• Obituary - Donald Austin, 82, a retired Wayne City farmer died at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Francis Hospital in Morton. He had lived in Morton the last year with his son Donald Gene. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Richardson’s Funeral Home in Wayne City with Rev. Omer Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday (today). Mr. Austin was born in Wayne County Oct. 2, 1897, the son of Wilco and Nora (Boswell) Austin. He was married to Lova Lathrop. She died in 1963. Mr. Austin farmed south of Wayne City. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Church. Surviving are one son, Donald Gene Austin of Morton; three grandchildren.
